Re: ML330 G6 compatible with P812?
Hi,
P812 is compatible with this server model.
If the server is rebooting after installing the P812, here is what I suspect.
1. Firmware levels of P812 and BIOS of the server.
2. P812 could be faulty, try the controller in a different server.
3. Try in a different slot on the system board.
Good Luck!
Thankyou.
I work for HPE.

Re: ML330 G6 compatible with P812?
Hi,
Are you trying to boot from the P812 when you install it, as in replacing the std controller directly with the P812? If so then this could cause reboots as the drivers for the controller are not installed.
Another possibility is that when you install the P812 as a secondary card the system bios is setting it as the 1st boot controller, try going into the system setup and making sure that the P812 is not set to be the 1st boot controller.
Hope this is of some help.
Cheers

Re: ML330 G6 compatible with P812?
1. Firmware levels of P812 and BIOS of the server.
The server is running W07 firmware and the P812 is running 6.0 version firmware
2. P812 could be faulty, try the controller in a different server.
P812 put in other server running perfectly
3. Try in a different slot on the system board.
tried all different slots on the system board, but still faulty
When I upgraded the P812 firmware to 6.0 version and install back to ML330 G6 server, the system will be freeze in first boot screen. Even though I passed F9 or F11 still unchage.
Please help!!!

Re: ML330 G6 compatible with P812?
Hi,
You may like to elaborate the issue. The moment you have two or more Smart Array controller, the first thing you need to check in RBSU is the controller boot order. Make sure that the controller hosting the OS has the first priority.
