ML330 & Windows XP - Internal System Fan
HI, I've installed XP successfully on this, but I need to either disable or get the internal fan to run in low power mode. At the moment it is running full speed.
In the past I remember using the Management Agents or similar to fix this on another server.
Anyone have any ideas on what I need to do to fix this?
Thanks,
Matt

Re: ML330 & Windows XP - Internal System Fan
If you have the latest rompaq and HP support pack (6.4) the fan should slow
There may also be a setting for this in the advanced setup (f10)

Re: ML330 & Windows XP - Internal System Fan
Thanks for the reply. I've installed both of these and the fan is still running full speed.
I've tried both W2K and W2003 support packs.
Regards,
Matt

Re: ML330 & Windows XP - Internal System Fan
Get a program to put load on server (I use Heavyload) and see if the fan speed increases once server warms up - this will tell you if it is working correctly (Health driver should speed up fan under increased temprature)
