ML330e + 200Gbyte drive?

The specs (see attachment) say that up to 4x20Gbyte or 4x40Gbyte Ultra ATA/100 hard disk drives may be added internally. Please could someone confirm that 40Gbytes is really the limit.

If this is OS-dependent, I was hoping to attempt to install Solaris 10.

Thanks.

Re: ML330e + 200Gbyte drive?

Hi Rob

It should be possible to add higher capacity drives say 200 Gb as is the case in old model PCs. Only issue could be BIOS may not recognise the drive. In such case utility like Disk manager can be downloaded from Disk Vendor site.

You should be able to add this drive and get it to work, but it will likely only see approximately 137 GB of space available. I'd recommend reviewing this webpage:

The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..
