ML350 Display Problem

I am running Windows NT 4.0 sp6a on my Proliant ML350 server with an ATI Rage XL video adapter. I updated all the drivers on my server including the display driver and now when the server boots it locks up. After learning about problems having PC Anywhere installed I uninstalled it and then reinstalled the latest display driver and I had the same result. I then tried installing an older version of the display driver and the server still locked up. The only way I can prevent the lock up is to boot in VGA mode, or install the generic VGA driver which only gives me 16 color and 640x480 resolution. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can try?
