ML350 G1 and VXA-1 Autopak
I have a VXA-1 10 Autopak 2U which I have attached to the onboard SCSI in the ML350G1.
When booting the SCSI bios does not detect the library scsi device therefore not able to configure backup software. An AIT35 detects ok on the same bus with same cable.
Has anyone had any similar experiences

Re: ML350 G1 and VXA-1 Autopak
Hi Dave,
Is this attached to one of the ports on the Server Feature Module (PCI slot 1 in ML350G1)?
I suspect that the VXA-1 autopak uses multiple LUN's on the SCSI bus. I.E it uses a single SCSI ID (lets say 5) for the unit with LUN 0 as the drive and LUN 1 as the robot. The SCSI adapter has to support the multiple lun feature to see both devices and it may not have this feature.
You should still see the device at LUN 0 however on the scan as all controllers support this.
You may need to fir an additional PCI SCSI controller to solve your problem.
I hope this helps.
Brian

Re: ML350 G1 and VXA-1 Autopak
Thanks Brian
I will try a different PCI SCSI Controller
