ML350 G3 Hard Drive Failure Help

Hello, I have a ML350 G3 server with a failed physical disk. I have never had this happen before and could use a little guidance.

The drive that failed is model COMPAQ BD03686223. I am using a Smart Array 641 controller. My logical drives are in a RAID 1+0 configuration.

Do I have to replace the drive with the same model number? Or can I use a larger drive as a replacement (ie: go to a 72gb drive from my 36 gb)?

Do I have to shut down the server to install the new drive? Is it a long process or rebuild process to install the drive?

Is there anything else I should know about replacing the drive?
