ML350 G3 Internal health LED goes red when attaching an IDE device.
Hello all,
I'm curious to know if anyone has ever had a problem with an IDE device causing the internal health light to report critical failure on an Proliant ML350 G3.
The device I am attaching is a Sony DVD burner and even after upgrading the firmware on the device the problem persists. I know the drive is working as I can attach it to another HP workstation without problems.
My server is running windows 2000 SP4 and has all the necessary driver updates. While using the drive on another system is an option, I am curious to see if this problem has been encountered before. Thoughts? Ideas?
Thanks!
Rick

Is there any additional USB, or PCI, Serial, Modem cards?
