ML350 G3 on-board SCSI

Why does the SCSI BIOS always report Async SCSI transfers were negotiated with the disk backplane or a tape device connected?

Re: ML350 G3 on-board SCSI

Could you report the exact message and where exactly it occurs in the bootup sequence?

Re: ML350 G3 on-board SCSI

The HP's version of the Adaptec BIOS does not support Synchronous mode. Once the driver loads in the OS it will operate at its maximum speed.

Re: ML350 G3 on-board SCSI

Vijay,
One more question.
We have our own OS and driver built using Adaptec's CHIM (common hardware interface module) we correctly identify the on-board host in PCI space but the first call into the CHIM returns an unsupported host adapter type. Is there somthing unique about HP'S implementation/driver? Our driver works properly with Adaptec 19160/29160/39160 host adapters and various on-board configurations from other vendors.
