ML350 G4p - Large SAS/SATA
I've got a customer who is still rocking the ProLiant ML350 G4p to support CCTV recording. They've allocated funds to replace the server, but in the meantime we need to upgrade their storage to keep them limping along. They've got the model with the LFF SAS/SATA drive bays and Smart Array P600 controller, so in theory they may be able to support the higher capacity 1.5G, 3G & 6G series of drives (12G won't work), but there's no documentation showing compatibility between this model of server and newer SAS/SATA drives above what is shown in the server QuickSpecs.
I've posed the question to the HPE SLED team, but haven't heard back from anyone yet. I have seen a reseller site that indicates the higher capacity drives shown below will work, but I'd prefer confirmation from the guys in the field. I'd appreciate any feedback you can provide. Thanks.
