ML350 G4p - PPM error lights with second power supply installed
We've had a HP tech out and after being unable to resolve the problem the system was replaced, but the new system is doing the same. I've tried several power supplies, and they all give the same problem.
Even though the system seems to be working, I'm loath to give it to our customer when the system warning lights will come on as soon as he connects power to both power supplies.
Is this a known problem? Is there actually a problem on the motherboard, or is this something we can safely ignore?
*I have another ML350 G4p with an additional power supply coming through later today, I'll post an update here if it has the same problem.

What about the health led on the server? Is that also amber in colour? Any error under IML for the same.

There's no errors in the IML.
I checked another ML350 G4p, and it has the exact same problem.

Re: ML350 G4p - PPM error lights with second power supply installed
I have the same problem. Replaced the system board & did not connect any additional devices, cpu's , memory etc. Then started adding in the options & the system was working 100% till i added cache to the 6400 controller. Then the problem started again. Removed the cache but the problem persists.
Although once the server is booted no problems are encountered.....
Any ideas???

Re: ML350 G4p - PPM error lights with second power supply installed
Then consider replace the power supply backplane and if doesn├В┬┤t work then the PPM modules.
Spares:
Power supply backplane / 365065-001
Processor power module (PPM) / 347884-001
Regards

Re: ML350 G4p - PPM error lights with second power supply installed
you can try the following option.
1. Disconnect all the storage devices connected to the server (Including Internal Drives)
2. Change the status of Sw6 in System Maintenance Switch (ON)
3. Power ON the server for 10-15 Sec.
4. Turn off the server and set the switch to Normal (OFF)
5. Connect the drives back and power ON the server.
6. Check the light status...
