Because of the lack of nics in the g5, i am looking for a way of adding extra nics.
I am interested in Intel Pro PCIE NICs because they should be able to act as iscsi HBA.
Is that correct? If sou, i would like to ad an intel pro pcie nic into g5/g6 servers when using free hypervisor. Can someone plz point me to the right Intel Pro PCIE NICs ?
thanks.

SolutionHello,
the only supported network cards in the ML350 G5 are the ones in the quickspecs.
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12475_na/12475_na.HTML#Core Options
See the section "Communications".
Check out the "multifunction" adapters for iSCSI and TCP Offload Engine capable cards.
For 1GbE on ML350 G5 you have these to choose from:
HP NC373F PCI Express Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapter
HP NC373T PCI Express Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapter
HP NC380T PCI Express Dual Port Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapter
NOTE: Supported on a full length-full height slot only.
