I would get a few good full backups and verify them. If you swap out the board with the identical one, it should find the drives and work. Did you upgrade the firmware and drivers? Did you run diagnostics?

Well so far I have changed motherboard, backplane and a couple drives.I have incremental backups every 15 minutes but now I was notified the backups on C drive are failing due to errors on the drive. They wanted to get a full backup image and rebuild but I will have to solve the C drive issue first.I believe that is their problem , not mine as I pay a lot for backup service.My problem is the second array is about 285 gig and there are many many special permissions and if all had to be redone, would take forever.What if I took out the second array, did the "bare metal" on just the C and E and then put the second array back? Is this just wishfull thinking?
