ML350 G5 - Problems with installation SLES 10.1

We just have bought a new server for our university's hostel. And i'm trying to install SLES 10.1. No ROM updates, no Smart Array E200i firmware updates.. Just new hardware.
Smart Array E200i, as i know, can operate RAID 0/1/1+0. But when 3 drives are installed, i can see only 0/1+0/5. Default is all drives in one RAID 0.

Task is to make RAID 1 with 2 drives and 1 drive will be installed separately for /home.

Why i can't do that? Maybe i should update ROM flash for Smart Array E200i..

And when configuration of SLES is completed, installation program is trying to restart system, something fails with message like that:
JBD: barrier-based sync failed on cciss/c0d0p1

I really don't get your problem but if you have issues creating RAID levels using the array utility (F8) during POST

try this

download Smart Start CD load the CD use Array Configuration Utility to create the RAIDs, reboot your server and install SLES manually as usual

I already have got Smart Start 8.15 CD, but i cant't choose option RAID 1! Only RAID 0, 1+0 and optional 5

just choose RAID 1+0 then

With SmartAray RAID 1+0 is equal RAID 1 if 2 HDD is using.

For RAID 1+0 you need 4 hard drives to work. With 2 hard drives it is just RAID 1. So it is recommended to choose RAID 1+0 (as shown in the ORCA or ACU) since only RAID 1 mirroring only will be made available.
