ML350 G5 Rackmount & HDD
Hi:
I have done a little research for my issue and I didnâ t find anything so, I thought it would be best to open this thread.
I would like to buy and install the rack mount kit for my ML350 G5 HP server.
The problem is that it works in a vertical position for 3 years and I am a little bit afraid that if I buy the rack mount kit and change the position of my server to horizontal it may appear HDD failure, because the final position of the heeders itâ s going to be completely up side down.
My hard drive is a serial scsi 72GB and 146GB.
Does anyone know anything about this?
Thank you in advance
John

Re: ML350 G5 Rackmount & HDD
hi,
i think, it could happen that some HDD will fail, but it could also in the old position.

Re: ML350 G5 Rackmount & HDD
hi,
its always a risk to manipulate with functional servers ( devices ), but the server was designed to have both position rack/tower, so i think it will be ok.
