ML350-G5 i200 Arry Config Question
What do I need to add to to the above server to have both a two drive mirror AND a four drive RAID5 configuration (3+1 hot spare if possible but not required)? Keeping it a inexpensive as possible.

Re: ML350-G5 i200 Arry Config Question
Hi Wm,
The E200i Smart Array controller supports RAID 0/1/1+0 but can be upgraded with the 128MB battery-backed write cache (BBWC) module for RAID 5.
SO I suggest you to upgrade the E200i to 128MB Battery-Backed Write Cache.

Re: ML350-G5 i200 Arry Config Question
So to make sure I understand... I can have BOTH a Mirrored pair (RAID-1) and a 3 or 4 drive RAID-5 Array on one standard e200i controller in my ML350-G5 server, provided I add the 128MB memory upgrade.

Re: ML350-G5 i200 Arry Config Question
Hi Wm,
Without the 128MB memory upgrade only Raid 0/1/1+0 is supported. For your scenario 128MB memory upgrade is the resolution.
Regards,
Raj.
