ML350 G5 with E200i and 1TB drives - Amber flashes continuously
Hi,
We have a client with a Proliant ML 350 G5 server with 3 x RAID 1 Arrays on an e200i controller with firmware 1.86. Array C had 2 x 300GB SAS 2.5" HP drives. 1 drive failed and before we could replace it the other failed.
We then deleted the Array and installed 2 x 1TB Seagate drives and configured the Array. The array configuration utility reports the logical drive as OK and I can copy and delete files on the volume.
My concern is that the Green LED is solid (which is good) but the Amber LED flashes constantly (from what I read, this means a Predictive failure - worrying) on both drives even though the Config Utility says all is good. So now I'm a bit confused as to the status of the array and am nervous to put data on the volume.
I have not rebooted the server since adding the new drives.
Does anyone have any idea why it may be doing this or how to get the Amber lights to stop flashing?
Thanks,
G
