ML350 G6 None HP Drives
Hi,
I have installed and extra 2 x 500GB hard drives (None HP Branded) as extra drive capacity the OS is installed on HP branded drives.
The fans on the chassis are running at full since installing the extra drives...
Any ideas please?
Thanks, Chris

Re: ML350 G6 None HP Drives
Hi,
Non-HP hard drive will not work because, HP Hard Drive has specific firmware with talks to Array Controller firmware.
So Non-HP hard drive is not compatible with HP Smart Array Controller.
HP Firmware(s) has to talk to each other in a Server for smoother operation.
Thank You!
I am a HP employee
