We just bought a new ML350 G6. Everytime the server boots, the message:
POST Error: 1732 - Array Accelerator Battery Pack Missing- Array Accelerator Posted-Write Cache is Permanently Disabled.- Array Accelerator will be re-enabled when additional battery packs are installed.
appear.
It's loging an event in Windows Event viewer too.
There is no Battery pack on the server.
Is there a way to avoid this message at every startup?
Thanks!
Jim

SolutionThere is a fix for this in newer firmware for the SAS/SATA Smart Array controllers. You need to update if the controller has old firmware.
You can download the latest firmware update CD ISO image V8.60 from here.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3884315&prodNameId=3884316&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-124beffbed3842cea0b9b3f962
Boot the server from the CD once you have burned it and select the controller to upgrade (P400, P600, P800 etc).
I hope this helps,
Brian

Re: ML350 G6 - POST Error 1732 Array Accelerator Battery Pack Missing
I think the issue is resolve in firmware 2.50.
You can download it here:
