ML350 GEN 9 with Expander Card
Hello,
I'm struggling with HUSMM111CLAR1600 drives which are recognized with a transfer speed of 6gb/s instead of 12gb/s.
we're using the following Controller Smart Array P440 Controller #749797-001 along with the Expander HP 12G SAS Expander Card #727250-B21
After some research, I noticed that the expander card is not compatible with the ML350 G9, could this be the issue?

Re: ML350 GEN 9 with Expander Card
The expander is supported with ML350 Gen9:
https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getpdf.aspx/c04346272
The HPE12G SAS Expander Card provides internal storage expansion within the HPEProLiant Gen9 and Gen10 Server by allowing support for up to 28 drives when connected to a Gen10 or Gen9 supported Smart Array or Smart HBA controller.

Re: ML350 GEN 9 with Expander Card
thank you for the quick reply but the part number differs in ILO, the 727250-B21 matches for the DL380 G10

Re: ML350 GEN 9 with Expander Card
Is the disk SAS or SATA?
Performance (Expander)
•12Gb/s SAS (1200 MB/s theoretical bandwidth per SAS lane)
•6Gb/s SATA (600 MB/s theoretical bandwidth per SAS lane
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
