We added a new RAID drive and cache battery last week, dont know what status it was at then. This is causing performance issues on the server (assumption).

Where was that status captured from? I would login to the iLO and check the status from the System Information -> Storage Information page and also check for any related IML entries. If you are able to, I would also run the SSA Diagnostics Utility:
