OK! I AM GOING TO TRY THIS ONE MORE TIME! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHICH SMART ARRAY CONTROLLERS THE ML350 WILL SUPPORT OR POINT ME TO WHERE I CAN FIND THIS INFORMATION? I HAVE ONE PISSED OFF CUSTOMER RIGHT NOW AND HP WANTS YOU TO PAY FOR A SUPPORT CALL FOR A PRODUCT THEY MANUFACTURE! GO FIGURE!

Karlo, thank you for the reply. My server is a G3 and under contollers it has:

Smart Array 6402/128 Controller
Smart Array 6404/256 Controller
Smart Array 641 Controller
Smart Array 642 Controller
128-MB Cache Module for Smart Array 5302 Controller
Ultra320 Expansion Module for SA-6402
64-Bit/66-MHz Dual Channel Wide Ultra3 SCSI Adapter, Alternate OS
64-Bit/133Mhz Dual Channel Ultra320 SCSI Adapter

My other question would be; it has a "128-MB Module for 5302" but does no explicitly state the Smart Array 5302 as a contoller option. Would it be safe to assume that since the make reference to it with the Module upgrade, that the 5302 is supported? I have a couple of 5302's I'm keeping an eye on. Thanks again.

Charles to tell you the truth I haven't tried this

according to HP that is retired product so I don't have too much info about supported servers by this SA

As of 11 September 2000, the SA5300 will support all currently shipping ProLiant servers and many older models.

The first link worked but the second one had a page not found, but I think the first link gave me enough information. I also found an opportunity to get a 5304/256 card which has many more features than the 5302 at about the same price. Again thanks again for all of your help.

it says some features about 5300 series and says about 5304 availability


thats something weird that happens with some links
