ML350 Server SAS Hard Disk
How do i go abt installing it?
This what i did slid it in one of the bays. The opened HP Array Control Configuration Utility . Here i selected the 146GB disk and created a new logical partition. Then opened Device management and formated it as a primary partition.
The problem i face is once i restart the server, the system wont boot in the 72Gb where the OS is there it just restarts and performs a network boot. Have no idea how to deal with the boot paths in bios. I set to boot from c drive. I noticed it tries to boot in the 142GB hard disk.
Strangely 72GB shows up as Logical drive 2 and the 146gb as logical drive 1
Please guys really need to get this up and running as soon as possible.

Re: ML350 Server SAS Hard Disk
1. If it is atached to another controller change the boot controller order.
2 . If the 142 gb is now marked as c: you should change to boot from the another logical drive - d:.
3 . If it boot from PXE, this means that either you have wrong boot order or it can't find HDD it can boot from. You can go to boot.ini and manualy change the line :
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS . changing the partition
Hope this helps.
Best Regards

My 72Gb is logical drive 2 and my 146GB shows as logical drive 1 so what and how exactly it should be done. Both are seperate harddisks.
