Fans noise will be high when server is powered on. Its speed depends on inside temperature. When the temperature inside the server chasis is brought down with recommende environmental conditions, fans speed will come down and thus the moise.

There are no indication in the System Management Homepage. In the environment it shows all fan OK.
1 System 41 C 57 C Caution
2 CPU 58 C 80 C Caution
3 CPU 72 C 80 C Caution
I restarted the server and an event showed in the event log.
System Information Agent: Health: Post Errors were detected. One or more Power-On-Self-Test errors were detected during server startup.
[SNMP TRAP: 6027 in CPQHLTH.MIB]
Maybe this has something to do with it? I found a refernce in the HP Forum but there are no solutions provided.
