ML350 doesn't start up
I try to start a ML350 G1 without a cassis (only motherboard, memory, processor and mouse/keyboard atached) using a standard PCI graphics card. I have tried different PCI graphic cards but I get absolutly nothing on my screen, just dark. All cards works on other PCs well. The fan of my PIII 600 starts turning an LEDs on the motherboard lights.
Do I need a special grafics card?

Re: ML350 doesn't start up
You have to have the SERVER feature board installed. This is part of the server and it will not come up without being installed.
If you want to try using a separate pci graphics card, then you should be able to do this. If this is the 933 MHZ or earlier model, then I'd recommend installing it in slot 4 (1 GHZ would be slot 6). Once the server feature board is installed, turn switch # 1 on in the switch bank (one with eight switches). This will disable the embedded video. Power the server up after this and it should work.

The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..
