ML350 g3 internal or external nic will not connect at 1000

The internal nic will not see a 1000gps connection.  It says cable unplugged.  Same with add on nic.

 

Any suggestions?

  1. show us 'ethtool -i eth0', 'ethtool eth0', and the concents of /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

(replace 0 with the indexe)

 

pspci -v can be helpful too.

Also if its a Cisco switch on the other side, show us:

 

# show hard

#show run int gi0/1/2/ etc
