ML350 "This device cannot find enough free resources"
I am trying to install a USB CD-RW with a USB card on WIN2K. Windows finds the device but can't find any resources. It's looking for a free Input/Output Range. (Default= ffbf-ffbf) But that seems to be used by the PCI driver. Any suggestions?

Re: ML350 "This device cannot find enough free resources"
The PCI Device driver on Win2K uses "Hot Plug" resources. A great deal of them!
You can do one of two things, disable Hot Add / Hot Plug functionality in the RBSU or make sure you have the latest version of the Hot Plug driver instsalled:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/20524.html
If you choose to disable Hot Add...
Boot into the RBSU and select the Hot-Add Mode Disable option in the Advanced Options menu. The options for Hot-Add Mode Disable are:
- No, Do Not Disable
- Yes, Disable
Select Yes to disable Hot-Add.
Note: Disabling the Hot-Add functionality increases system performance; however, if the Hot-Add functionality is preferred at a later time over the increased performance boost, the server must be rebooted into RBSU to re-enable the Hot-Add feature.
You should install the latest bios on your server, if you have not already.
Let us know if this clears up the problem?
