ML350G1 cannot clear IML
Hi:
I have a ML350G1 with 256MB RAM which i cannot clear the IML on. If I try to run the IML Viewer it hourglasses for about 2 minutes then returns a "out of memory" error. If I try to clear it from the management page it says it is going to clear it but then after refreshing it hasn't.
Any ideas would be appreciated,
Dan

Re: ML350G1 cannot clear IML
hi dan:
here is advisory on this issue
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=PSD_EM030516_CW01
you can also run system erase on the server
- or clear nvram.
- the IMLV is coming from the system health drivers ; possible need to update them and or reinstall.
Tarek.

Re: ML350G1 cannot clear IML
Thanks for the advice and the link, I had viewed that one already though. I forgot to mention that i am running the latest Support Pack v7.10a which includes a newer System Management driver than that article suggests. Also, this is a remote server about 6 hours from me so i can't reboot it and wipe the NVRAM.
Any additional suggestions would be appreciated,
Dan

Re: ML350G1 cannot clear IML
if you want to clear the IML remotely an you do this through the managementagents, please check your SNMP Config.
You must enable SNMP Set's and configure 127.0.0.1 as trap destination.
