Apparently any 64-bit 33-MHz PCI card that can use 3.3V power supply could be used, as long as you can find the driver for it.

As the PCI bus speed is only 33 MHz, I think a 64-bit PCI card would be preferable, so you can get plenty of bandwidth for gigabit operations.

32-bit ("plain") PCI cards like HP NC1020 can be used, but such a card might be a bottleneck for sustained network transfers at gigabit speeds.

PCI-X cards like HP NC7771 would work in a backward-compatibility mode, allowing you to use the full speed of the ML350G2's bus. However, this might cost more than you'd like and a ML350G2 will never be able to use a PCI-X card to its full potential.

Cards like NC7131 would be ideal for this server, but unfortunately NC7131 is no longer manufactured. You might find used cards at a reasonable price on places like eBay.

Accourding to server specs:
Six available PCI slots: five 64-bit/33-MHz PCI, one 32-bit/33-MHz PCI

Accourding to Nic Specs.
The NC1020 supports auto-negotiating 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet speeds as well as a PCI 32-bit PCI, 33/66 MHz data path and is specified to run in either 33 or 66MHz slots.

So put in 32-bit/33Mhz PCI slot only.
