ML350G4 and Windows NT
Hi,
What are the chances of getting NT4 to work on an array model ML350G4,(3.2Ghz 1Gb Ram) that is one with a 641 adapter, prior to upgrading to 2003 I have some applications that need NT4.
Thanks
Andy

Re: ML350G4 and Windows NT
Chances close to zero, NT4 don't have enough Drivers to Support chipset and architecture

Re: ML350G4 and Windows NT
Everything having to do with the install would have to be done manually, but it should work. It will require going to the manufacturers (Intel, Broadcom, etc.) websites in order to get the correct drivers. Obviously NT4 doesn't have very many of the drivers required built into it.
This would not be supported by HP though.

The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Re: ML350G4 and Windows NT
One of the most common ways to utilize NT4 on newer servers for which NT4 drivers are not available is through virtualization. With Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Virtual Server you can host an NT4 VM relatively inexpensively with a list price of $499 for MSVS Standard.
