ML350G5 - can't see VPN

Hi All,

I've got a bit of a strange problem.

I have single ML350G5 running SBS2003 R2. I also have a hardware VPN between the main site and a remote office. The main site is running on 192.168.0 range and the remote on 192.16.1 range. Both ends have a static IP address (issued by the local ADSL ISPs respectively).

All my workstations can "see" the remote office. My server cannot see the remote office.

I can ping a remote address from a w/s but not from the server.

I have tried turned Routing and Remote Access both ON and OFF, but neither setting makes any difference.

I do not think this is a ML350 issue (or even a HP issue), but the assistance from this site is always very helpful.

Cheers,

Re: ML350G5 - can't see VPN

Hi Mark,

I had a similar problem with one of my watchguard VPN routers. So not exactly a HP problem. I configured one of my router with 192.168.0.x and could not activate the VPN.
According to some reading, the 192.168.0.x is "non-routable". I don't know if this helps, but changing my Ip-Adress in the WG VPN router did help.
