I'm trying to control the disk enclosure's leds from Linux. They do not seem to show up as "generic" sas enclosures (can't use sg_ses or similar) as far as I can tell. How can I cause LEDs to blink so that I may identify disks as needed?

Re: ML350p Gen8 Linux Blink LEDs
Hi mmib,
There is no option to configure it at the OS end.

Re: ML350p Gen8 Linux Blink LEDs
I see, thanks for clearing up the confusion. That is very unfortunate and makes for more difficult server administration on my part.

Install the 'hpssacli' utility to access the disk controller. There is a commad to make the disk LED ID blink
