ML350p Tower + P800 + P822
Hi!
I'm writing this in the hope it will help somebody.
We have a ML350p gen8 tower server. We wanted to install one P822 controller and also a P800 controller on the same board.
We have Storage Controllers (P4xx) onboard, Slot 1+ Slot 2.
The only setup we were able to find and work was intalling P800 in Slot 3 and P822 in Slot 4.
P822 can only be installed in Slot 3 or 4, but when installed in Slot 3 the Slot 4 must be empty. Also, when the P800 is installed in any of the slots from 5 through 9 there is an undocumented Boot Error "1783-Slot 9 Array Controller is in a lock-up state due to a hardware configuration failure.".
Undocumented because the P800 works fine in Slot 9 until the P822 is inserted!
Because P822 does not support MSA50 - we were forced to keep both controllers.
In case this helps somebody... maybe it can also be added to customer advisories, so as people know about this!
Regards,
Mihai Ionescu
