I wait five minutes, reboot and all is fine. Do the next weekly reboot of the W2K3 server and the same thing happens. I have checked all of the system fans and they are all fine. Vents are free of dirt/lint. Ambient air temperature in the room is 72 F. What is going on?

SolutionI imagine this could be related to 1 of 2 things. BIOS firmware rev, or which support pack you're running.
Try updating the BIOS and PSP to 7.51.
If it 's still happening, you probably have a fan that is failing.
Proliant Support Pack 7.50 (Windows 2000)

Re: ML370-1610 Temperature Error
Thanks for the idea. I downloaded both and made the cd. I will give that a try this evening when I am able to take the server down. I will keep you posted.

Re: ML370-1610 Temperature Error
I finally was able to get a time to take the server down. I checked all the fans and they were functioning so I installed the latest firmware CD which found updates for two of my hard drives and my array controller, and I installed the latest support pack and all is well now. Thanks for the help!

Re: ML370-1610 Temperature Error
That's good to hear. I've seen this alot. It's a combination of the health drivers and firmware on the system that fight each other and end up reporting false temp messages.
Have a good day!
Chris
