ML370 G1 Controller boot order

Hi,

I have installed a PCI SATA controller with 1 HD for booting. All is ok.

Now I want to install 1 HD SCSI to the internal SCSI controller but if I do this the system try to boot from this HD. I have always read the contrary (INT 13 and boot from ATA controller)

If I start from the utility partition I can set the order of the 2 channel SCSI, the primary/secondary internal ATA controller but I can't do anything to tell to start from the PCI controller. I have put it on the PCI Bus 1.

Can I specify to start from the PCI SATA controller and not from the internal SCSI?

Thanks,
Marco

Hi Marco,

you should try to go to BIOS and in Boot controller order tab to set PCI SATA card to be first boot device.

If is't applicable.

Re: ML370 G1 Controller boot order

I think that with G1 series I can't go into BIOS. I have always used the configuration partition.

I have read often on this forum to press F9 or F10 (I use F10 to enter in the partition) to enter the BIOS but I have never read on the display that sentence.
