ML370 G1 SMART array configuration

L.S.

I have recently acquired two second-hand ML370 G1's, but I cannot access the array config, for some reason. I have tried everything I have found, but I must be missing something. Anyone have any pointers, please?

Thanks in advance,

Re: ML370 G1 SMART array configuration

Hello J.S. de Vries,

Bydefault ML370 server ships with Integrated Dual Channel Wide Ultra2 SCSI Adapter and optional integrated Smart Array Controller so if it has no optional smart array controller installed it will just support software raid by the OS and no hardware raid and it wont support array configuration utility nor array diag utility.

But if want to have add a hardware raid we need to have smart array controller and here is the link for the server quickspecs so you can select on your own :

Thanks Regards

Re: ML370 G1 SMART array configuration

hi

what have you tried? by the way knowing what you have tried we don't repeat the same...

yes if you are using Integrated Dual Channel Wide Ultra2 SCSI you install windows normally

and if you have the smart array you will need smartstart 5.5
