ML370 G1 troubleshooting

Im having POST/Boot issues with this G1. When powering it up, I get a green power light, the drives initially light up, I have all greens on the boards yet it wont post. I have removed the riser board, disconnected the battery, unplugged the array, tested all types of memory, reseated the single processor and still nothing. I dont have any way to diagnose further because I cant get a screen.

Re: ML370 G1 troubleshooting

Sounds like the system board is toast... I'm not sure where you could get one for it, and if HP had one in stock they'd charge you an arm and a leg for it.

Mmm that being said do you have a spare video card you could put in the server if it is an issue with the video hardware on the board... long shot but I guess better than nothing?

Re: ML370 G1 troubleshooting

Hi,

check the connection between the power supply cage and the system board. Reseat all cables connecting these 2 components.

Re: ML370 G1 troubleshooting

The ML370 G1 won't post if you pull off the riser card.
