ML370 G2 a host of problems

After receiving a free server off a mate i was in hope that i was going to work smooth. Wrong, both hard disks are not recognised by SmartStart. Previously i mannaged to install windows ME lol but it wouldn't recognise the CD-Drive thus stopping me from upgrading to Server 2000 or 2003. It also has other error msg's including "SCSI bios not installed" and "no scsi boot device found" and "Smart Array controller not installed". Finally one of the 36gig hdd doesnt flash any lights when plugged in? i am an beginner at this, Please help, any help would be much appreciated! THANX

Smarts Start (SS) wonâ t be helpful for you if you donâ t have smart Array Controller and OS can be installed directly after PSP from web or from SS.

OS - use 2000 or 2003

CD Drive - make sure Jumpers CS for Cable Select

SCSI bios not installed - is not counted as errors and can be ignored (used for Onboard SCSI)

Run Firmware Update if CD Drive Fixed

Clear NVRAM from F9

Make sure all cables connected to SCSI backplane
And you see HDD from POST by ID
Run Direct OS Install either 2000 or 2003
