ML370 G2 redundant fan lost and restored errors

I've been getting an error saying a fan was removed, redundancy was lost, then a few seconds later saying the fan was inserted and redundancy was restored. Could this be a fan that's about to fail, or just another error?

This is very likely a fan failing. You should be able to determine which fan it is from the message log. You should be able to test the fan failure by removing the redundant fan that is listed and moving it to the next fan bank and and letting the server run. You should see this error "move" with the fan if the fan is at fault. If it does not move, then the fan plug on the M/B is the problem and the board will need to be warranty replaced.

I've seen this happen when the hot-plug fan has pushed it's mating connector back through the chassis, when inserting it. It connects OK but becomes intermittent. The plastic "molex" female connector is held in the chassis by two keyed tabs, and these are easily forced out of place while inserting a fan.
