Server not been used for a while, no Proliant splash screen or bios on boot (all 3 green lights ok)
Removed smart array 5300 card, boots fine into smartstart.
Swapped for new smart array controller (6400), into slot 1 same problem occurs, ie no startup at all, server just freezes on power up.
On a sidenote, with array controller removed and loading smart start, im stuck in a loop selecting english language??!?
Tia for help.

Re: ML370 G3 booting problems
Is the right answer apparently!!?
Tried slot3 and Array controller picks up fine by bios and all is well. Now im confused, is this the default port or is this configured in bios, i need to understand why now.

Re: ML370 G3 booting problems
I think there is/was a problem with the system boards PCI slot1. I had some problems with this.
Replacing the system board or moving SA card to second or 3rd PCI slot solved the problem.
