ML370 G3 redhat 9

I am having a problem getting into rescue mode with redhat 9.0 cd 1. Soon after it loads the aic7xxx driver it crashes. I believe there are problems with Redhat 9. Does Redhat 8 support Proliant ML370 G3 with the 641 Smart Array controller or is there a work around with Redhat 9?

Please could anyone give me some pointers for the same. Help is greatly appreciated.

IMHO, the answer is simple: RH9 doesn't support Proliants, use RHEL 2.1 (well, we'll see RHEL3 this October)
