ML370 G3 server-hw to install windows 2008 64bit version?
Hi,
I have a proliant ML370 G3 server which i believe has HT technology that you can install any 64bit operating system?
I would like to know how can i install windows 2008 64bit version. I need this version for my exchange 2010.
Also, the firmware chooses only win2k and windows 2003? so how do i changed the firmware to accept windows 2008?
I was able to install windows 2008 32bit version but using only command prompt when logged in, is this a memory issues? i have 1.5gb memory installed on this server, is it not enough for the windows 2008 gui?
Help!!

Re: ML370 G3 server-hw to install windows 2008 64bit version?
Intel publishes a CPU identification utility that will query the processor and display its capabilities: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/processors/toolspiu
This will show you whether it's an x64 processor or not as well as support for Hyper-Threading, Intel VT, etc...
The ML370 G3 was retired more than a year prior to the debut of Windows Server 2008 so no work regarding it or implied compatibility should be inferred.
