ML370 G4 duplex SCSI Cabling (simplex --> duplex)

Hello guys,

we want to upgrade an existing server (ML370 G4) from simplex to duplex SCSI.

In the Server Maintenance and Service Guide I found the information about the standard shipping configuration.
In this case the backplane is connected through one cable with the raid-controller.
Between the first two harddisks and the other four drives you can find a cable bridge (named "simplex SCSI cable")

I thought that´s easy to upgrade to duplex SCSI.
I thought that I´ve only to remove the cable and
connect a new (second) SCSI-Cable to the RAID-controller and terminate the first SCSI-channel.

But I only found the following parts in the Quick Specs:
339323-B21 Duplex Ultra320 SCSI Backplane Option Kit
(this kit seems to include a SCSI-Cable and a Duplex SCSI board)

My questions:
Can I plug this "Duplex SCSI board" on the standard backplane and what is the part-#.

What are the actual part-#´s ?
The Option Kit (339323-B21) is end-of-life.

The # for the cable I found: 243670-001 "signal cable"

But with "Duplex SCSI board" I´m not shure:
371722-001 "Backplane" - or is this the standard backplane ???

... I got the solution directly from HP ;-)

Spare-Part-#´s:
- SPS-BD, SCSI DUPLEX (371722-001)
- SPS-CABLE KIT,MISC (243670-001)

I wonder why it´s not possible to use a simple SCSI-Terminator instead of a "Duplex SCSI board".
Maybe that´s because of the SCSI-ID´s of the cage.
