ML370 G4 --> G3 Migration

We have a ML370G3 server that had some issues. So we ghosted the Windows 2003 image to another server that was a ML370 G4 temporarily. Miraculously the onboard LSI controller was recognized and the OS booted on the G4. But now it is time for that image to be reghosted back to the G3 which uses an onboard Adaptec controller for the system HDs. Is there a way to boot the OS with a floppy so it can recognize the Adaptec controller? I tried KB325879 but i get a hardware error.
