ML370 G5 207 error

When upgrading an ML370 G5 from 2GB to 16GB we have tried the following combinations, each with the same result.

Slots 1,2,5, and 6
Slots 1,2,3, and 4

The only thing we could get to work was 1 and 5 leaving us with 8GB that we can't use. What do we need to do in order to get this server to run all 16GB?

We are running 24G in a ML370 G5. According to Insight Manager, we have 4G in the following slots:
1, 2, 5, 6, 9, 13

What OS are you running? Some are not capable of seeing 16G.

Re: ML370 G5 207 error

We finally got the server to boot with 8GB, 4GB in slot 1, and 4GB in slot 5. Our problem was that the server would never allow it to boot. The server was stopping during the POST.

Great idea but I have DDR2 RAM. I looked all over HP's site and cannot find a single thing showing what combinations to use. We really need all 16GB of RAM to support the VMs we need to run.
