ML370 G5 network performance poor
I installed w2k3 w/ sp1 on ML370g5 server at the client's site. Now hat server act as file server, but the IT man complaint that ML370g5 performance is poor compared to the old non branded PC that previously hold the file server. Regard on the windows performance monitor I saw that the network activity is reach 100 simultaneusly. Based on sugestion from this forum I should run this command "netsh int ip set chimnet disabled". Unfortunatelly I got this feed back "the following command was not found : netsh int ip set chimney disabled".
Please somebody help to solve this issue. Is this hp issue or MSoft issue ? Thanks before.

Re: ML370 G5 network performance poor
mostly you can see the issue for SP2 not for SP1 that's why this message "he following command was not found : netsh int ip set chimney disabled"
but which drivers are running for the NIC? latest Proliant Support Pack 8.1?
are you using NIC teaming?
so performance is poor transmitting or receiving files? or both in the network?
regards

Re: ML370 G5 network performance poor
Is that mean on w2k3 sp1 there is no TOE feature ? The support pack /smart start CD is 7.9 version. It was without network teaming. Then what I should check next ? Is it not related to TOE ? Thank you.
Regard,
Yayat
