ML370 (Power sub system is no longer redundant)

Help! I am running Windows 2003 Server on ML 370 Raid 5 (3 disks, 72.8 GB each). Recently my UPS has failed. Now that the front light -middle one is amber not green. I checked the event viewer. I saw a message ID 1125 in system said that...Power sub system is no longer redundant. What should i do to correct this problem ?
Thank you so much

Michael:

Did you plug both power cords into a new power source? (i.e., the wall?)
Enjoy!

Re: ML370 (Power sub system is no longer redundant)

John: I have connected both power cords from Server to the APC UPS system and from UPS to Wall Outlet.

Michael:
Do you have an amber LED on the power supply?
Make sure the power supply is seated firmly.
Do the fans spin on the power supplies?
Enjoy!

Re: ML370 (Power sub system is no longer redundant)

John: they are sitted firmly into the APC system. On the APC the lights Load/Online/Battery charge are all green. On the ML370 server. The middle led light is Amber ...
Thanks for your attention to this matter John

Re: ML370 (Power sub system is no longer redundant)

Is this a Generation 2 or 3 ML370?

Look at the back of the server and check for the LED on the power supplies? Are either lit Amber?
Enjoy!

Re: ML370 (Power sub system is no longer redundant)

John:
The ML370 Server is G3. In the back of the server only one light on the right is green and there is no green light on the left. What could be wrong john ?
Thanks so much

Re: ML370 (Power sub system is no longer redundant)

Well... to discover the fault, take the power supply that does not display the LED and plug it into the side that does.

Does it come on?

If so, you have a bad Power Backplane Board or a loose connection on the board.

If not, then you have a bad power supply.

Let me know what you find and if this helps? -john

Re: ML370 (Power sub system is no longer redundant)

John:
Thank you for detail explanations. I will shut down the server sometimes today and do the swap to see if that works... I will inform you either way.
Thanks for your professionalism.
