ML370 STOP: 0x1e

We have a ML370 G2 using O/S "Windows2000server" that has the "blue screen of death" with "0x1e" error pointing to the file "hpbecp00.SYS". I assume that "hpbecp00.SYS is a driver. Does anyone know what it is driving or what the problem might be?

Re: ML370 STOP: 0x1e

I've had several intermittent problems with ML370's, in particular when they have the redundent fan option installed. There is a problem with the transistors that drive the fans. The current ROMpaq / system BIOS now spins the fans at high speed unless you go into the advanced part part of the RBSU and change the setting to a slower speed. If the ROMpaq update does not correct the problem, you'll have to replace the system board.

Re: ML370 STOP: 0x1e

Tim,
Thanks for your reply. Found out that the hpbecp00.sys file is a driver for HP4050 printer. Looks like the file got corrupted and is giving us the "0x1e" error. Thanks again.
