ML370 won't boot after power outage

System ran fine (server 2003) before power outage. All lights on front are green (lan light is flashing).
No error codes on array controller.

It doesn't post to monitor nor keyboard post.

The drives spin up and then all go out.

I have already removed and reseated ram, processors, and array controller.

Thoughts?

DL380 G4 (Server 2003)and we have the same exact symptoms. IKE hit us. We even swapped parts with another server of the same model and recieved the same results. We are thinking maybe motherboard.

please can someone assist, MS SBS 2003 downloaded and installed updates on Proliant 340s

after restarting the 2 servers are showing

attempting to Boot from CD-ROM
attempting to Boot from Floppy Drive (A:)
attempting to Boot from hard Drive (C:)
Error loading operating system

Please, what steps can i follow not to lose all the settings, programs and data

try to set up in BIOS right boot controller, because after updates, I think that you lost boot device?

We had a power outage that lasted for about 18 hours. The system was running fine before that. After power was restored, the system will no longer boot... it won't even post (not even a keyboard flash). When I power it up, everything spins up like normal (ie, initial array spin up, fan kick up, etc) and then when you would expect it to post to the monitor, it just sits there.

Is there a master reset on these ML370's like there used to be on compaq servers? (reset system bios)

Last option would be to reset BIOS, maybe you should try to access via ILO interface?

No updates. Yesterday I removed both procs and power boards, all the ram, and the array controller. Put in the minimum reqs (1 proc, 2 sticks of ram) even tried alternating the procs and power boards.

System still thinks it's fine (all green) but won't post.

Popped the battery off the motherboard and also tried flipping dip6 for a reset. nothing going.

Looks like I have to write this system off as dead. bummer.
