ML370

I can't find, although I believe in the past there have been rompaqs to set up a Computer Setup/VP and PC Diagnostics F10 partition on an ML370 Server.

I can't see this on the downloads pages for the ML370.

Could someone advise. Maybe I'm going blind.

Thanks in advance.

Re: ML370

Martin

Your advice before was very helpful. I now have a further problem configuring the the drive array. I don't want to use raid so I guess I need to disable the controller. I've booted the machine up (ML370) using the Configuration disk you recommended before. There is then an options to configure the drive array which when you go into it says "Insert the diskette labelled Drive Array Configuration into drive A" I've tried all the possible configuration disks I can find on the site for the ML370 and none of them give me access.

Could you help?

Re: ML370

Hello Andy,
There are two Utilities available now for configuring the array. One is GUI based:

http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/14185.html

The other one is Web Based:

http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/16580.html

In a normal set up of array you would require a Smart Start CD which takes care of everything for you. If you don't intend to use the array controller then you can hook up the drives to the onboard SCSI controller and go from there.

I have appended the link for diskette version of Array Configuration Utility as well but don't think so if this will be of any help to you.

Do you mean I don't need to do anything software wise if I don't want to use the array. How do I disconnect the drives and then hook them up to the onboard SCSI controller.
