ML530 G2 PCI POST error messages
I have a ML530 G2 which every time it is rebooted reports a power failure detected in pci slots 1,2,3 & 4. The amber LED is lite on all 4 pci slots. The sytem board has been replaced as has the PCI backplance board, but same fault occurs. The rilo card, scsi controller & gigabit nic has been removed but still the errors occur. bios has been upgraded to newest version available from hp website. once booted the system works fine, smartstart diags & insight manager reports the 4 "faulty" pci slots are available, but amber lights still are lite.

Re: ML530 G2 PCI POST error messages
Hi Mister,
Check the below customer advisor, which explained about Performing PCI Hot Plug Operations. Also clear the Nvram if not done.

Re: ML530 G2 PCI POST error messages
The NVRAM was cleared when the replacement systemboard was installed, the customer advisory above refers to a different fault, however, i have now replaced the power blackplane board and this has cured the fault.
